Be Amazed on our Whale Watching Excursions on Maui
Join us onboard our open air catamaran as we search for these magnificent creatures and experience them in their winter playground.
During Sea Maui’s winter months (Dec 15th-April 15th) Humpback whales migrate down from the cold waters of Alaska to the warm waters of Maui to mate and also give birth to their calves and train them in the safe, calm waters off Ka’anapali.
Chat with our naturalists if you are interested in learning about whales. You can also kick back, relax on our bean bag chairs with a cocktail and enjoy the Maui whale watching tour. Listen to the call of the whales underwater with our onboard hydrophone!
This sail includes a full open bar. There’s nothing quite like our whale watching tours in Maui to make your island vacation complete!

- 4 hours of free parking validation, please bring your ticket with you to check in.
- All of our trips include a full open bar for guests that are 21+ years of age with proper ID.
- We offer local and domestic beers, white wine, champagne, bourbon, light rum, dark rum and vodka. We can create many different cocktails such as Maitai’s, Maui Mules, etc.
- Our non-alcoholic beverages include a variety of soft drinks, lemonade, passion orange guava juice, and water.

Please check in at our kiosk located between Leilani’s and Hula Grill along the beach walk at Whaler’s Village 30 minutes before your trip. After checking in, we will have a brief safety meeting before boarding the boat. We’ll collect your shoes on the beach, and once you’re comfortably settled on board, you’ll set off with our knowledgable captain and crew on your adventure to find humpback whales!

The BEST possible way to experience the majestic Pacific Humpback Whales up close and personal. The waters off shore of Ka’anapali Maui are host to the largest population of Humpback Whales on the planet. Our crew will educate and answer questions as we head to view the most active pods we can find.

- Wearing a hat can help you get more shade during the tour! Wearing a chin strap may be your best option for keeping your hat on while the boat is moving or if there is wind! Waterproof materials and broad-brimmed hats are excellent choices.
- A shirt with a light jacket and shorts is recommended additionally a light rain jacket.
- Our whale watching tours are barefoot, please wear shoes that can be easily kicked off and stored upon loading.
- We also provide complimentary reef-safe sunscreen in case you forget your zinc or mineral-based product.

We are a beach loading catamaran so we are unable to accommodate anyone with mobility issues.

48 hours notice of cancellation required for a full refund. Once within the 48 hour window no refunds will be honored. Customers will receive a full refund in case of operator cancellation due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances. You MUST call to cancel. (808) SEA-MAUI. No-shows will be charged the full price. Private charters and other special events (New Years Eve, 4th of July, etc.) will require 7 days notice for a refund. Third party vouchers or tickets not sold by Sea Maui may have additional refund restrictions out of our control, Sea Maui will not be responsible for the refunding of any payment taken by a third party vendor.
