Our Maui, Hawaii snorkeling tours begin from Ka’anapali Beach in front of Whaler’s Village near Leilani’s. Then, you will set off in search of West Maui’s best snorkeling site, and while doing so, you will be offered meals prepared by Cafe Jai.
While underway , keep your eyes open for Hawaiian spinner and bottlenose dolphins, and during the winter months, you can look for the humpback whales that migrate from Alaska to the warm Maui waters.

Experience West Maui Snorkeling in Hawaii
The snorkel tour in Maui will take place on board our catamaran with our experienced captain and crew. They are happy to answer queries and ensure you’re comfortable before jumping into the sea. The captain will determine the best site for your Maui catamaran snorkel based on current water conditions. This includes the popular Maui snorkeling sites, including Honolua Bay, Cliff House, Oluwalu, Mala Wharf, and more. There is no guarantee of a specific site as the weather and water conditions can change daily.
Once in the water, everyone will be using the provided snorkeling equipment. You will swim among beautiful tropical fish and get a chance to be up close to “Honu,” the Hawaiian green sea turtles. There, you will spot vibrant reefs and hopefully some other wildlife surprises while you splash below the surface. Depending on the season, you might even have a chance to witness humpback whales’ migration.
Once back on board, you will enjoy lunch prepared by Cafe Jai and be offered access to our premium open bar including local beers, handcrafted cocktails, and other beverages as we take a leisurely cruise back to Ka’anapali Beach.
Photography services will be offered onboard if you’d like to capture your adventure both in water and along the way.

West Maui Snorkeling Details

To begin your West Maui Snorkel Adventure, make your way to Ka’anapali Beach. Be sure to arrive half an hour earlier than your set schedule. Sea Maui has an easy-to-find check-in location at The Whaler’s Village Shopping Center since it is the only boat with a physical location on the beach. In addition, it is the only boat with 4 hours of free parking validation.
The kiosk is located along the beach walk at Whaler’s Village between Leilani’s and Hula Grill. There, you will meet your expert guide and group if you prefer to join other people. You also have an option to go with your private group through Sea Maui’s private charters. Check out the available private charters you can book on our site.

This half-day snorkeling trip already includes breakfast and lunch for the guests on board provided by Cafe Jai. You can check their menu below. Their delicious meals can satisfy the cravings you have for the day. The food ensures that you have a full stomach on the trip, while your eyes are also filled with stunning marine life underwater.
All the snorkeling equipment is provided, so you would not have to worry about where you can rent or buy for this ocean adventure. You will have your skin taken care of as sunscreen is also given to guests to avoid sunburn. So wear your swimsuit and be ready to get wet!

Depending on the weather and water condition, you can visit other snorkeling sites in Maui within 4.5 hours.

What makes a snorkeling adventure even more fun? Drinks on board, of course! The West Maui Snorkel Adventure includes a full open bar for all guests aged 21+ with proper ID.
We offer two local beers you can enjoy while you marvel over the beautiful Maui Sea, plus a selection of white wine, champagne, bourbon, light rum, dark rum, and vodka. In addition, there will be crafted drinks just for your liking. We can create many different cocktails such as Maitai’s, Maui Mules, etc.
Kids and visitors who prefer nonalcoholic beverages can also enjoy our open bar as it includes soft drinks, lemonade, passion orange guava juice, water, and coffee.
